Phils and Linda were staying at their suite in Peninsular Excelsior. It commands a very nice view at the top floor. These photos were taken from the restaurant balcony where we were having our breakfast. Nice weather and scenery!
What you see here is not the completed drawing. If you think there are lots of details in this picture, wait till you see the completed work! Phil Ortiz also laid his fingers on this art work. I did contributed to a portion of the drawing. Those rocks, trees and animals (monkey, lion, bird) on the left of the drawing was done by me. I also did some characters on the boat. Could you see Emily and Rocket? Where are the Bart Simpson and his sister?
Many people came to our booth because of the Simpsons cartoon. Phil Ortiz is the original Simpsons artist who did the Simpsons comics for both season 1 and 2. The Bart and Homer Simpsons you are so familiar with are refined by Phil Ortiz, which means he set the standard. It cost $50 to be "simpsonized" and $25 to autograph a Simpsons character.
Phil and I may have high expectation for our book launch, but the fact was our launch turned out to be unexpectedly quiet with just a few people. We believe it was due to a late schedule at 8pm, where most people have gone home. Count out the kids from Cosplay, they have their own world on the stage. Those people who signed up earlier had gave up and left. But still, it was a relax moment and and we gave a hearty introduction to our new book.
From toys, games, comics to Cosplay. Everything teens are attracted to is found at the convention. Don't forget, before you buy anything, you are already paying $15 for the entrance fee. What a price for consumers!
Phil Ortiz is the no #1 Simpson artist and I got a book, autographed by Phil Ortiz!! There are two Phil here, Phil Yeh and Phil Ortiz and we are all in the same booth. Come and look for us at H29, and be "SIMPSONIZED" by Phil Ortiz!
